![]() ![]() And the one point that would make me take caution is the history of Nikon in abandoning new platforms. But there is no telling how well Nikon will implement the features nor the firmware. I haven't read up on the Z6 or Z7, but I assume they will be using Sony chips. So hurry up and wait is the order of the day! And I guarantee the first adapters will cost a few hundred dollars, then over time the Chinese will introduce cheap knockoffs that work well. But it will take months for 3rd party manufacturers to design, build, and sell the adapters for the various 3rd party brands of lenses. The good thing about ILCs, which is what these new Nikons are, is they can easily adapt SLR lenses of most brands, including Canon in all likelihood. But since I use a lot of adapted lenses it doesn't matter as much to me. ![]() It took years to get very many available, and they still are lacking in some lens areas. ![]() As an early adopter of the Sony ILCs, the most frustrating thing was the lack of native E mount lenses. I would steer clear of brand new equipment until you get some real reviews coming in. It will take a while for users to get them and test them out. Who knows, at the moment they are not available for purchase. ![]()
